What is phlebotomy training?

Phlebotomy training teaches you how to safely and effectively collect blood samples from patients for medical testing, donation, or research. Our course covers both theory and practical skills required to become a competent phlebotomist.

Who can enrol in the training?

Our training is open to individuals aged 18 or over who wish to pursue a career in healthcare, nursing, or laboratory work. No prior medical experience is required, but a good level of English and basic literacy is essential.

How long is the training course?

The duration of the training is 1 full day. Full details are provided on the course overview page.

Will I receive certification after completing the course?

Yes, upon successful completion of the training and assessments, you will receive a certificate of attendance issued by Phleb Insight Ltd.

If you wish to obtain a certificate of competency, you will need to be signed off after completing 10 live blood draws (bleeds). Trainees are responsible for arranging these live bleeds at their own workplace or clinical site.

Once you have completed the 10 live bleeds, you must submit the signed-off competency sheet to Phleb Insight trainer by emailing it to info@phleb-insight.com. Upon verification, Phleb Insight will issue your certificate of competency.

Please note, certification does not replace any statutory licensing or registration required to work professionally.

Can this training help me get a job as a phlebotomist?

Our training equips you with the essential skills and knowledge required for phlebotomy roles, but employment depends on individual circumstances, local regulations, and employer requirements.

What is the cancellation and refund policy?

You may cancel or reschedule your enrolment up to 72 hours before the session for a full refund. Cancellations or rescheduling less than 72 hours before the session are non-refundable except in cases of genuine medical emergencies with supporting documentation. Is the training conducted online or in person?

We offer in-person theoretical training and practical sessions.

Do I need to bring anything to the training?

For in-person practical sessions, you should bring photo ID and any materials we specify prior to the course.

What happens if I miss a session?

If you miss a session without prior notice, it will be considered a no-show and you may not be eligible for rescheduling or refund unless you provide valid documentation for exceptional circumstances. Please notify us as soon as possible if you cannot attend.
